How I can help

Care built around four things that matter

From a routine check-up to a smile you feel good about photographing — all under one calm, conservative approach.

01

Preventive care

Stronger today, healthier tomorrow.

Check-ups, scaling and polishing, gum health, fluoride and sealants, and a hygiene routine that actually fits your life.

Book a check-up
02

Aesthetic dentistry

Enhancing natural beauty, beautifully.

Whitening, composite bonding, edge reshaping and veneers — planned conservatively so the result still looks like you.

Discuss your smile
03

Restorative care

Restoring function, restoring confidence.

Tooth-coloured fillings, root canal treatment, crowns and bridges — comfort-first, with the tooth structure preserved wherever possible.

Fix what's bothering you
04

Women's oral health

Specialised awareness for every stage of life.

Hormonal changes, pregnancy, and the oral-health questions that rarely get answered properly anywhere else.

Explore Her Smile

Her Smile

Your mouth changes with your hormones. Almost no one tells you that.

Gums that bleed more before a period. Sensitivity in pregnancy. Dry mouth, enamel wear, changes after a course of medication. These are real, they're common, and they're manageable — once someone actually explains them.

  • Gum health through hormonal changes
  • Safe dental care during pregnancy
  • Enamel, whitening and sensitivity — what's true and what isn't
  • Dental anxiety, without judgement

About

Your knowledgeable friend who happens to be a dentist

I'm Dr. Samavia Rasheed. I practise dentistry the way I'd want it practised on me — carefully, conservatively, and with a proper explanation.

A lot of people arrive a little embarrassed, convinced they've left it too long. You haven't. My job isn't to lecture you about flossing; it's to find what's actually going on, tell you plainly, and give you options ranked by what I'd genuinely recommend.

Everything I suggest is grounded in current evidence. If a treatment isn't necessary yet, I'll tell you that too — and we'll watch it together.

Your visit

Nervous? Here's exactly what happens

No surprises, no instruments waved at you before you're ready.

  1. 1

    We talk first

You sit up, fully clothed in the ordinary sense of the word — no reclining chair yet. You tell me what's bothering you and what you're worried about.

  2. 2

    A gentle look

A careful examination of teeth, gums and bite, with X-rays only if they'll change what we do. I show you what I'm seeing as I go.

  3. 3

    A plan you choose

Written options with costs and timelines — what's urgent, what can wait, what's purely optional. You decide, not me.

Still deciding? Just ask.

Send a message and describe what's going on. No commitment, no pressure.

Smile Notes

Small things worth knowing

Short, practical dental education — the answers I give most often.

Know your smile

Bleeding gums are a signal, not a normal

Healthy gums don't bleed when you brush. Bleeding usually means inflammation from plaque sitting along the gumline — reversible at this stage, and worth acting on early.

Smile science

Whitening toothpaste vs. actual whitening

Whitening pastes remove surface stains — they don't change the natural shade of your enamel. Real colour change needs peroxide-based treatment, done properly and supervised.

Her smile

Pregnancy and the dentist

Routine dental care is safe in pregnancy, and gum inflammation is common because of hormonal changes. Skipping care usually causes more problems than attending does.

Know your smile

The brushing mistake almost everyone makes

Scrubbing hard and rinsing straight after. Brush gently at the gumline for two minutes, then spit — don't rinse. Leaving the fluoride on the teeth is half the benefit.

Ask Dr. Samavia

Got a question you've been putting off?

Send it over. If it's something I can answer in a message, I will — and if it needs a proper look, I'll tell you that honestly instead of guessing.

Answered personally, usually within a day or two.

In their words

What patients say afterwards

I hadn't seen a dentist in six years because I was terrified. She talked me through every single step before touching anything. I actually booked my follow-up before leaving.

Ayesha K. Preventive care

I wanted veneers. She explained why bonding would give me what I was after with far less drilling. Nobody had ever talked me out of spending more before.

Maryam S. Aesthetic dentistry

My gums were awful during pregnancy and everyone kept telling me to just wait it out. She explained what was happening and treated it safely. Enormous relief.

Hira M. Women's oral health

Patient names shortened for privacy. Individual results vary — every mouth is different.

FAQ

The questions people ask before booking

I'm genuinely scared of dentists. Is that okay?

Completely. Tell me at the start and we'll adjust — shorter appointments, a stop signal you control, numbing gel before any injection, and nothing done in the first visit that you haven't agreed to. Many of my regular patients started out anxious.

How much will it cost?

You'll get the price before treatment starts, in writing, with the optional items marked as optional. If something can reasonably be delayed or watched, I'll say so.

It's been years since my last check-up.

That's more common than you'd think, and it's not a problem to solve with guilt. We start with a look and a plan, then work through it at a pace that suits you and your budget.

Can I be seen while pregnant?

Yes. Routine and preventive dental care is safe throughout pregnancy, and gum problems are common during it. Let me know how far along you are and we'll plan accordingly.

Do you do whitening — and will it damage my enamel?

Yes, with professionally supervised, peroxide-based systems. Used correctly they don't damage enamel; sensitivity during treatment is common and temporary. We check your gums and existing work first, because whitening isn't right for every mouth.

How do I book?

Fill in the form below or message on WhatsApp — whichever is easier. Tell me roughly when suits you and we'll confirm a time.
